Update September 2021
Pre-school will be open to all families without restrictions. We will continue to update families with any changes to guidance or if we have an increase of Covid-19 cases within Pre-School. If you would like to speak to a member of staff or have any questions relating to the wellbeing of your child, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Update February 2021
We will continue to open to all children following the February half term. We have contacted all families to find out who would like their child to have a Pre-School place and we are looking forward to seeing lots more Little Acorns when we return on Monday 22nd February.
If you have any queries or concerns about your child returning, please contact Pre-School and we can discuss any questions you have, which may help you to make any final decisions.
Update 17th December
We close today for the Christmas break. We will be contactable by texting the Pre-School mobile – 07535744196. Please continue to inform us if your child or anyone in your household develops symptoms or tests positive for Covid-19.
Children return to Pre-School on Tuesday 5th January. Staff are in Pre-School on Monday 4th January for PD day. If there are any changes to guidance or opening plans for the new term, staff will be in contact with all families on Monday 4th 2021.
New Term Update
On Wednesday 2nd September, we reopened to offer full Pre-School sessions. It has been a very successful start to the new term and we would like to thank all of our families for following our requests for social distancing and drop off and collection at the door.
Update 21st August 2020
The staff team were overwhelmed to see so many families join us for our garden drop in today. It has made us even more excited to start the new term on Wednesday 2nd September!
Update 3rd July 2020
We have been so lucky to be able to welcome back some of our Pre-School children. It has been very busy with lots of time in the garden. As we prepare to welcome all children back in September we want all parents/carers to feel happy and confident when they leave their child at the door. All updated information will be made available to families before the new term starts and staff will be available to speak to should you have any concerns.
In the meantime, we have provided a link to the updated government guidance for parents and carers. Please note this is only relevant for the summer term, but might provide some reassurance.

Update Friday 5th June 2020
In preparation for your child’s return to Pre-School, week beginning 08/06/200, please see the updated risk assessment.
Update Sunday 17th May 2020
Following government guidance, we are now preparing to reopen Pre-School on Monday 1st June 2020. We have contacted all families to gauge group sizes and will be in touch with those who wish their child to return to Pre-School in the next few days.
Confirmation of all places will be made no later than Friday 29th May 2020.
Update Wednesday 18th March 2020
Sadly, following the news we have all heard this evening from the government, Little Acorns Pre-School will close at 5pm on Friday 20th March until further notice.
We realise this is going to be a very difficult time for everyone, and we are working hard to think of ways in which we can support families while they are at home. We will be in regular contact over the next few days so please check Facebook and our website for updates.
